Glass – Manufacture Opal from glass is an age-old Opal imitation that is still used today. Since Opal can be manufactured in virtually any color, this makes it a popular substitute for original one. Although it is less brilliant, less durable, not effective.

A glass material known as “slocum stone” can mimic the appearance of opal.
